Homemade Bird Feeders & Model Magic Bugs
Children will make a birdfeeder to take home. This is a great way to attract birds for observation! Insect attributes and adaptations will be explored through model magic bugs.
Native American Sign Language
Children will learn how the tribes, mountain men, and pioneers interacted through hand-talk (sign language). Students will learn the signs for trading and then practice by utilizing them to trade beads and build a bracelet (all WITHOUT speaking.) Please have each child bring a small item to trade!
Zip Line Challenge
Children will work in groups to create a working zip line!
Mini Canvas Magnet Art
Children will learn about an artist and create a mini masterpiece to display at home.
Dragons, Unicorns, and the Bible with an Interactive Fossil Lab
We will have a brief Power Point presentation on “what is a fossil?”, “how are fossils formed?”, and “Dragons, Unicorns, and the Bible”. We will explore the evidence showing man and dinosaurs existed together just as the Bible reveals. We will study the Scripture’s description of the unicorn, behemoth, and dragons which are NOT make-believe creatures, but real animals that man was very familiar with.
Then there will be a hands-on, interactive fossil lab. Students will see and handle various fossil specimens. They will be instructed to observe design and evidence of catastrophic geology (flood), which proclaims the truth of Scripture. Come and “Discover Creation”!
A one-hour program suitable for the entire family!
Roly-Polies, Ladybugs, Bats, And Other Things In Nature That Are Not What They Seem
What exactly is a roly-poly? Is a ladybug a bug? And if flying bats aren’t birds, what are they? Discover unique creatures God made and their “hidden” identities. Learn how things in nature are not always what they seem and how you can study God’s creation to learn what things are and are not. As you practice this important skill, you’ll be better able to identify truth from falsehood in nature and in culture and society.
